Now, the best I can feel about it is “meh.” As is usual for Zelazny, the concept behind the book and its thematic material are amazing. I can totally get how this was possible. Some of the surviving Angels either hide among the peoples of the Universe as mysterious "immortals", but others—Osiris and Anubis—take over the House of Life and the House of Death, respectively.
