Strung with Head RIP Control 1.20mm/MSV CoFocus 1.18mm, Yonex SuperGrap overgrip and O-dampener the total weight is still only 338 grams with a balance at 32 cm. Players raised on thick beams, open string patterns and easy power will likely find a better fit with the more explosive Ultra 100 Countervail. I hope it will work. I really felt like I had control over what I was doing with the ball and the feel just lent itself to precision and touch. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on string tension or even swapping the Alu as the mains?
I put some lead on the handle to make it more head light and thought it worked well with Solinco Hyper-G strung at 23 kg. To me this hits similar to the Prince Tour Pro from about 10 years ago, with some added stability, or
the Head Prestige YouTek version, but lighter and a bit more pop because of the bigger mid-center sweetspot. I was rewarded with deep penetrating groundstrokes that helped me push my opponents back and let me stay offensive. As I grow
older, I gradually
gravitate towards lighter racquets with better sweetspot, control and greater feel without the stiffness and without
losing too much
stability. This racquet does everything well. From:Darth, 5/6/19, Comments: I play this stick for one year now and I can say for sure that I haven't played with a
better racquet since. Although not necessary, it's interesting to have a first name, city, state and country (no email addresses will be used). Hi Tanner, The Volkl PB 10 Mid is a great stick! S$179.00. He currently plays with the Wilson Blade SW104 Autograph. All the power you need. Most tour player
racquets are too
heavy for me.
This is a super sweet stick. From:Greg,

Coming from the Wilson BLX Tour 95, quite a change. For me this stick plays the same as a H19. I would have enjoyed a bit more weight in the hoop. It feels super smooth, solid, got controlled power and
spin with great
touch -- in other words, everything advanced players with solid stroke production would ever need to compete and
enjoy the game. From:Anton, 9/5/17, Comments: This racquet is one of those rare racquets that
come along every so
often where it seems that it performs well everywhere on the court. There are a lot of old-school racquets with similar characteristics, but I picked ones you’d find in the store today.
Thank you Tennisnerd. I enjoy both racquets, but feel the ball better with the Wilson Ultra Tour. What is more comfortable and less than that, Ultra tour or K7? The setup of the two rackets is slightly different though, with the Tour coming in at 6PTS HL compared to the 100CV’s 4 PTS HL.
Thanks for your review, you saved me 225 euros as I already have and love the Angell TC97, if anything I would like to have something diffrent in my bag beside it. I usually don’t like Luxilon Alu Power that much, but in the Wilson Ultra Tour it played just fine! Troy currently plays with a Wilson Six.One 95 18x20. Groundstrokes also gained some depth and potency, but it took a few weeks to really dial in the swing and shot
trajectories to
consistently hit desired targets with aggression. I also struggled to generate the amount of spin I'm used to getting. The Ultra Tour was a racket we very much enjoyed though! This racquet doesn't
help with put
away power but does help with accuracy and consistency quite a bit. Today my two new rackets showed up at my door. Add some weight and don't string it too tight -- you'll love it.From:Billy, 10/18/17, Comments: Good feel from a flexible frame. So
when I saw the specs for the Ultra Tour, I bought two on the spot. Tried this yesterday and it took me 15 odd mins before I got used to the power and launch angle (currently playing with the pure aero 2019 it was a very different experience) and while its definitely underpowered I loved being able to hit out with it and I could hit my targets in very windy conditions with decent power. It was super plush and felt great in hand and the sweet spot
felt pretty
generous. Ultimately, even with its many strengths, the Ultra Tour isn't for everyone.
The Ultra Tour is a unique player’s racquet that is offered with a slightly lighter weight, weighing in at 11.4 ounces strung. I hope you find what you are looking for! It has a softer and smoother feel, which is a fair distance from the crisp playing Pro Staff line.
It makes the game so much easier for me. This one needs lead and more lead.

I was hoping for a bit more plow through and missed some of that put-away power that I've grown accustomed to with my favorite racquets. The paint job looks good though. Interesting review as I played with several Angells (in this order) TC95 18m 63Ra, TC97 18m, TC100 and lately with K7 Lime.
The Ultra Tour brings added precision to the versatile Ultra franchise. Sign up for Wilson emails to receive 10% off your first purchase on Wilson.com.*. I completely understand the allure of a powerful and spin-friendly racquet however. Good luck! DS. It will be interesting to compare it to the Blade. Any recommendations ? The only people I could see not really getting on this racket are those people that love a really involved feel from their racket. This racquet could be improved by also offering it as a 16x20 or 16x19 pattern with wider
spacing on the mains, in
addition to the current 18x20 pattern version. With a tighter string bed the 18x20 pattern
felt a bit too
boardy and lacked power but a thinner gauge string with tension in the high 40s provided a much friendlier
experience.
Wilson could also improve the paint quality. ", Mark- "That Wilson waited this long to release this frame. I’ll try to list my all-time favourite player racquets: * HEAD Pro Tour 630 (PT57A) * Wilson Six One 95 (several generations) * HEAD Prestige Classic 600 (PT10) * Wilson Pro Staff 85 * HEAD Radical Tour (several generations, Candycane, Zebra, Bumblebee). Since I lost a bit of control when I took bigger swings I found it best to keep my volleys short and simple and let the racquet provide the pop. Hi Sergio, I used Luxilon Alu Power at 22 kg.
Summary The Wilson Ultra Tour is a racquet for the semi-advanced to advanced player who’s open to playing around with some lead tape to find the ideal specs. From:Franco, 1/5/18, Comments: I switched to these racquets about two

I’m really very impressed with her level of control, my volleys and smash have improved a lot in level of control compared to tc95.
What tennis racquet should I buy? I think I might play a little better tennis with the Ultra, but it’s hard to say. I was impressed with how forgiving the racquet was while still having good touch. Thanks. I'm also at 350 grams strung now. I would put the new Dunlop CX 2.0 Tour right there at the top as well but
that frame
definitely need a little weight in the hoop. From:Chris, 1/21/18, Comments: Love

generating topspin. I have been gravitating toward racquets that have tighter patterns lately since I have rediscovered my appreciation for standard strings like multifilaments. Much like the Babolat Pure Strike 18 x 20 I currently use, this racket has the feel and control of the classic rackets, but the manoeuvrability of a modern player’s racket. I have somewhat of a classic game. It also became easier to drive the ball deep, and I was able to coax some additional power from the 18x20 string pattern.
Spin was
pretty decent maybe a bit better then the Blade 18x20. Hope you feel better with the Ultra. The issue with the PPP100 was that it felt a bit unstable at times in the hoop, perhaps because of the large head at 100 sq in and the VCORE Pro 97 felt a little tinny, not as solid as my PB10 Mid. Cheers / J. No oval beam/high RA, no PWS, no Cortex, no Triad, no wide open string pattern, no post play pain ... just a great frame! My first thoughts were that it would be a difficult racket for less advanced players to use. I’m currently trying the HEAD Liquidmetal Radical Tour, a more than ten year old racquet which comes in at a rather hefty 325 grams unstrung and 330-ish swing weight.
