This weakens the combo potential, since you'll have to use your reduction cards on other things than Seraph way too often. I have a 70% winrate against tempo rune and a perfect winrate against Neph. The issue is that a lot of the class' power is concentrated into some very specific cards, and if you don't draft them you're just out of luck. And as for the lack of Elenas: i tried to make that work, but these days decks either far outtempo Elena, or run enough board clears to counter Daria, that Elena very rarely buffs minions enough to decide a match. These powerhouses have Storm, Rush, and Enhance effects that are useful in almost any situation. Haven is unbeatable with a good hand and utterly terrible with a bad one; aria is the best card in the game on 2 (by an extremely wide margin) and just not very good on turn 5 or 6 typically. It can be that since they don’t show up often enough, you have to create a completely different strategy without them, making their presence in your deck pointless. I've only really played this deck for two days, but so far it's been spectacular. It's probably my first pick after Swordcraft. Title says it all, I really like the card and want a strong deck built around it. I use sledgehammer since it's guaranteed to kill at least one thing, and most meta decks run enough 2 health followers that he can often trade 2 for 1.
It's just too slow. If by hard you mean "draw reliant" then sure but the decisions are extremely straightforward at every turn. The tone down of blood, violence and gore of new card art worry me about future art atmosphere of this game.
I think another factor is that other midrange oriented drafts tend to get outvalued by about turn 6 or so and then just can't catch up at all and lose. As someone that doesn't really know current meta since I've only been playing for 3 days, I still see what you mean from a general point of view, I've been thinking of cutting off at least 1 Aria but everybody else seemed to have it, I already swapped out 1 crudge priest for a sledgehammer but I'm keeping the other 2 for now since I don't have enough vials after creating another Seraph. 5.
