Fine. And yet, as I potter once again across Koholint, digging up its last remaining secrets to avoid turning it off again, I’m delighted to have been wrong. Would love that, too. The game looks so good that I wonder if they could even patch that out. It's still a wonderful childhood memory for me and one of my favorite games of all time. I'm a swing-first, ask-questions-later type of gamer, but I found myself using my shield more than I ever did in the original. There's no way to mimic that on the Switch, so we get a dungeon maker instead.
I'm loving the game so far. I get that it's been remastered/remade but it should be maybe 40$ tops. It won’t be a day one purchase for me. In my excitement, I may have cut myself opening the package! While this didn't bother me too much, some of the drops were distracting. For those complaining about the price, the game boy color version is cheap as hell on the 2/3ds eshop. It's a refreshing touch, though some of the reactions are a bit slower than I would like. In doing so, this feels like it was made in some alternate present, where games remained in 2D, puzzle-focused and strange, but tech improved to support it all. Also windwaker should be remade. [*Reviews will go up on September 19 at 5am Pacific] 26 years after its original release on Game Boy, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening will be reborn as a new experience on Nintendo Switch. The amiibo offered some unique aspects, but then again, this is only if you buy the amiibo. I feel all the negatives could be fixed in one solid update. The Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening for the Nintendo Switch is a remake of the first portable Zelda game. As I played, I experienced random frame rate drops, particularly when moving between grids. @Galenmereth Mysterious forest is a lot weaker and worse.https://youtu.be/GY68esxHIWY. That's what it comes down to, really. Again, this is a remake of a 90s handheld game. I would like to receive news and offers from other Future brands.
Check. I do not want to revert to a previous save file as other wise I will have to do bottle grotto and key cavern again. I hope they can fix those with an update. They should've waited a bit longer with releasing it and focusing on the patch.
Koholint's map, which still reveals itself bit by bit as you stumble across new areas, seems so small in comparison to most adventure games today but it has depth; it's a cleverly designed place stuffed full of surprises and secrets. That's just my opinion, anyway. @Chunkboi79 I already have Links Awakening pre-installed. I played the original on the 3DS VC. So please, Nintendo, give us remakes of Super Mario Land 2 and Kid Icarus: Myth and Monsters! And in every other article's comment section. I appreciate that the developers carried over these little details. I've got the limited edition coming tomorrow and I'm looking forward to playing it, but if I'm honest I think this type of game really could have done with not being an almost exact replica of the original. The biggest disappointment is the framerate during transitions in the overworld, and even six months after release, it doesn’t seem like it will be addressed. The developers succeeded in doing more than adding a fresh coat of paint to a classic. Traveling through this colorful, bizarre island is a blast. You can upgrade Link’s health by find heart containers around the world and by defeating bosses. Zelda titles tend to hold their value. It was pretty disappointing upon starting the game to notice all the drops right off — made the game seem slugish during some locations. Sometimes Link's jumps were slow, he would hesitate during a pegasus boots charge, and some of the messages boxes took a second to close. Shame it wasn’t a spiritual successor instead.
