@Shstrick You guys didn't get lucky. Which is a complete fallacy.
@nessisonett Damn, that sucks.
Still waiting on texture issue, then... Are they just going to fix them on ps5 to sell the console or something lame like that? A certain section of gamers behave like any issue is the end of the world.
That game was buggy as hell at release. The vent one is in the Shinra Building, where you can sometimes be stuck with no icon to interact, which prevents you from progressing. @nessisonett If I remember correctly, DigitalFoundry did a SSD test on the Ps4 Pro and it helped with some of the texture streaming issues. I loved how the game looked but yeah the framerate did definitely stutter a lot for me, especially when fighting the Jenova Dreamweaver and the Scorpion mech during its final phase when it goes ballistic, This is also probably going to be helpful when optimizing the game to run on PS5 as well as the eventual multiplatform launch on Xbox and PC next year. @jipiboily I know that feeling. The hub areas of the world were very ugly at times. The pop-in on textures was terrible but certain textures such as doors, it was hard to tell if they were supposed to look like PS2 graphics or they hadn’t loaded in yet. And in all of that time since, the game has never received an update. @Bdbrady It definitely wasn’t polished. @Nalverus are you from Europe? And that's that. Considering that you waited this long to vent about it--the moment that this article was released, it's probably the latter. I fixed the audio bug because the game has an issue with surround sound with my TV and I had to change the settings through that. Acting like a game is broken because it has some texture issues. Already finish it not long after it launch, the only problem that I have with the game is sometimes the game texture didn't load unless cloud stood really close to it.
That's how I felt! Maybe your harddrive is wonkey or your Pro is defective somehow. You’re right about the hyperbole that comes out of some people’s mouths. Square Enix's stock prices rose to their highest rating since November 2008, and the YouTuberelease of the reveal trailer garnered over 10 million views in the following two weeks. haha. so for those of you who had the issues and they are fixed awesome =). I agree with you on Jedi Fallen Order. Other than the piss poor (ie nonexistent) textures in a few places, it mostly ran like a dream. Hosted by 44 Bytes. And here's me... with no internet to download the update, @AdamNovice It wasn't even close to being a "technical disaster. "I later found out that you had to hard reboot". It seems like you are a kind of person who will find a single cigarette butt on an otherwise clean street, and be convinced that you are in a bad part of town. Final Fantasy VII Remake Players Are Having to Chat to PlayStation Support to Unlock Free Avatar Bundles, Final Fantasy VII Remake Sales Top Five Million Worldwide, Free Final Fantasy VII Remake DLC Makes a Mockery of Butterfinger, Cloud Tops Final Fantasy VII Remake Popularity Poll in Japan by Some Distance, Gorgeous Final Fantasy VII Remake Tifa Theme Is Now Free on PS4, Addressed freezing and frame rate drop issues, Performance and stability improvements added. I only bought it during the promo price period, and was surprised by the lack of any update. What was I supposed to do, vent about it on a random article? The patch notes don’t even add anything. They should fix the horrible background textures, they were especially bad when you were climbing up to the upper part of Midgar (they looked like a 240p image). It seems almost all of the problems were on PS4 pro. The texture issues, similar to Star Wars, didn’t impact gameplay but just made the game look amateurish in areas which is not what you want from a game that took years and years to make. I went too Twitter for Remothered Broken Porcelain is a great example. Visual Works created the announcement trailer. This is one of my GOTYs for sure. I loved that game so much so that it was hard to get into another game after.
I enjoyed it so much and thought it was so full of action I didn't notice any blemishes and the character detail was amazing. @andreoni79 don’t sleep on FF7R. It’s been months since the game came out with zero post-release support therefore the articles about the game are few and far between. The game was next showcased at the 2015 PlayStation Experience, demonstrating cutscenes a… This game is one of my favorite games on ps4, I can't stop smiling when playing it, squareenix do this remake right. It's just that Bethesda tried to put so much other crap into that release to try and divert people's attention away from how buggy and unpolished it actually was, and I'm saying that as someone who played the PC version over consoles, which meant a considerably more stable experience than what the Xbox 360 and especially the PlayStation 3 versions amounted to, which made Special Edition look even worse. And in all of that time since, the game has never received an update. Nice to finally get an update, though. It's certainly far from the "technical disaster" that some would have you believe. Still a very pretty game overall, though.
Such a great game and it sucks that anyone suffered performance issues (i only had a few texture issues myself). This is clickbait. I had to reload my save quite a few times due to bugs locking out progress, there was plenty stutter and the texture problems were almost as annoying as the utterly laughable lip sync with NPCs. I was thinking of picking it up... @Dodoo it was pretty glitchy at launch. Played through on Normal, then Hard, then the first few chapters on Easy and never saw a single issue besides the texture stuff. Especially some of the sky boxes. Yes there was some texture issues here and there, but the game was beautiful. @tabzer I mentioned it multiple times on the forums. A rarity for a big budget title these days.
