I actually like the idea of Duel, Standby, since the Accelerator combo gives you an easy way to trade in your opponent's monsters with recyclable fodder, and get that extra card advantage back. I guess Pyroxene Fusion could work as an archetypal trap-version of Poly if you really want to fusion summon on your opponent's turn, but otherwise, none of the Gem-Knight support really stands out. The Cheerful Coffin. Still, I'm guessing Volcanic decks will find ways to pack in backrow removal, given how powerful their monster removal already is.

Skull servant is part of the "wight" archetype. The highest ATK for DW is Reign-Beaux but needs Ceruli to run consistent.

3 monsters, 2 of them are counter generators, try-to-find-me dragon that actually can use ice counters.

Now, if you really want to build a Dark World deck in DL, you're much better off running monsters like Trance Archfiend, which gives you a free discard with a beneficial effect to boot (or even Rigorous Reaver, with its discard flip effect).

Ancient. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. Ally of Justice. Let that sink in. You see, few cards in the TCG allow you to reliably discard per card effect (not cost); and while a fair bit of Dark World support was printed to remedy to that, well, I don't see any of it in Duel Links.

Can't wait for Grapha, Dark World Dealings, Dragged Down Into the Grave, etc.

Does triblaze accelerator Target?

Nice summary.

When mixed with existing Dino support, I can see this being a decent deck and rival current Dinos. They are certainly trying. Mist Archfiend seems pretty strong in the right deck since it can be a 2400 with no tribute. I spent way too long on the top of the list trying to figure out what the "A-" archetype was. But without the other Volcanic Monster, it seems a bit lacking. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts. I'll build a wall and make your monsters pay for it. The relevant juracc would be guaiba not Herra lol.

Royal Firestorm Guards is also a thing in the TCG, and while you won't be dumping your monsters as fast, it's probably worth running for the recycle and the free draws. Earth Armor Ninja could help the new Ninja decks, but it might be situational since you probably won't want no monster expect at the start of the duel. Currently, there are only two Gem Knight fusions that have effects worth mentioning: Gem Knight Prismaura, with face-up card removal, and Gem-Knight Citrine, with an anti-activation effect that's a step above Ancient Gears. Yet almost all of them are not competitively viable. Let's be all ready for Neo Spacian Cumbo!

I can at least see parts of the Archetype being useful.

Aroma. Community content is available under.

Fuck it, let's go crazy and give poly decks what they really want.

Thanks for this !

Okay, so maybe I'm a sucker for dueling dinos, but there's one card that a lot of people will probably glaze over: Jurrac Herra, which special summons itself from your hand or graveyard whenever a defense-position Jurrac is destroyed by battle.

I think Rank10 does play Duel Links, just on and off in the background. With that said, the prospects of you actually triggering those effects are absolutely dismal. Also, burn is also a bad matchup because they play almost little to no monsters.

Okay, I'm being a bit harsh here.

Probably not. It just confirms my opinion of the box. And if they massivemorph/mask one of your monsters you're screwed because you don't run any tribute monsters.

Community content is available under CC-BY-SA unless otherwise noted. My favorite archetype in Duel Links is snow one. It's not surprising that an archetype that destroys its monsters as soon as they're switched to defense wouldn't fare very well in Duel Links, but that's really just the beginning of Cloudian woes.

B-B.E.S. Take your favorite fandoms with you and never miss a beat. Bamboo Sword.

Lightsworn: All the self-milling with none of the benefit. 3 monsters, 2 of them are counter generators, try-to-find-me dragon that actually can use ice counters.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that they have only 5 monsters and Konami could add all of them in one box. Lack of high atk monsters more specifically Goldd and Sillva. Konami decided to give us plenty of ways to generate Fog counters, but practically no ways to actually use them.

He tweeted about the "Lets get Star-ted" thing.

I'm updating it now. Has the potential to get so much stronger. Assault Blackwing. Oh, and if you want to know more, or just want a laugh, feel free to check out Rank10YGO's Archetype Archive on Volcanics. A-Abyss-Aesir. Here are my thoughts on the Archetypes: Dark World: Missing a lot of cards but still could be pretty decent with what we have. Current amount of Archetypes: 282, this is the best comment on all of this subreddit. Hey, if you just want to mill yourself out as fast as you can, then by all means, run Lightsworn. Those two cards if added to DL would make Dark world a high Tier 2 contender if not a low Tier 1. Alien.

But my point still stands: Dark World is a fun archetype with some good monster effects, but it needs its support to be even remotely viable.

Allure Queen.

This deck will be expensive to run, with the necessary cards being 2 UR and 1 SR. You will have to reset this box 3-4 times, and that's depending how the cards fall for you. By using our Services or clicking I agree, you agree to our use of cookies. Duel Links - GameA

If we get cards like Wulf that benefit from the milling, then maybe it will work but with 20-30 cards it will be rough.

Gem-Knight: Easily one of the best Fusion Archetype in Duel Links... That is not saying much. Angel.

Gave lightsworn no decent support, volcanics and dark world are p2w, and gem knights are average. EDIT II: I have added the Assault archetype from the Red Demons Dragon structure deck.

Sure, it IS a self-recycling fusion spell, but honestly fusion decks kinda need that kind of consistency to pull out their fusion plays properly. Duel Links - GameA Sorry, but I just love his videos. Lets Make Prescience SPYrals a Thing, Konami! They might have more cards to help? Pretty poetic, really. Alligator. Absorb Fusion would be a really nice consistency boost, but as I'm not sure just how good it would make them, I'll reserve my judgement on that one for later. Assault.

28th Main Box: Witch's Sorcery | YuGiOh!

Fandom may earn an affiliate commission on sales made from links on this page. I wont really call it an archetype yet if there is only one card to represent the archetype in-game. Like Dark World, it has potential but off to a rougher start.

Dark Magician, come forth!

How convenient that RANK10 JUST uploaded his Volcanics video right before Konami officially announced this upcoming box. Gonna skip this one the same way I skipped the last two. Do you think Volcanics will be that good though? Archfiend. This is why I think people will run WoD/Floodgate over other cards.

Yu-Gi-Oh!

Yeah it should be able to be found In The cards related section.

But even then, a single e-con would make all of those dreams go up in smoke. In keeping with the Duel Links tradition of releasing archetypes without the cards that make them functional, Konami is gifting us with a nice variety of archetypes that range from insanely expensive to patently unplayable.

It must atleast have one other card that mention the archetype.

Well there is a tribute monster but he's underwhelming.

All of this, combined with the fact that Blaze Accelerator's effect isn't once-per-turn, makes for a very explosive deck by Duel Links standards.

Current amount of Archetypes: 282.

yup, konami fucked up with this box. PvP Best decks [Oct 24 Updated] | YuGiOh! Duel Links is a game developed by Konami, available to Mobile and PC on Android, iOS and Windows, distributed with Play/App Store & Steam.

Dark worlds also have into the void and dragged down the grave which are both quite potent in duel links, specially dragged down, still won't make an impact tho.And volcanic wise, sure they have some cards but on a meta with probably a fair amount of backrow removal from gladiators to phoenix to cyclones to counter backrow, are you gonna consistently keep accelerators up?Add possible insta lose against burn, mill and s/t removal plus the high chance of bricking and you got a disaster waiting to happen.
Assault Mode. Tri-Blaze Accelerator and Volcanic Doomfire are also a thing, but Doomfire is too hard to summon (despite having a good effect), and although Tri-Blaze is searchable, it's also more likely to brick you than anything else - run it at 1 if you really want to. Duel standby with lightsworns so you die even faster. Kinda did the same thing with Crystal Beasts too.

Yu-Gi-Oh! You can argue that Fusion Recycling Plant is the same but better but it kinda isn't at all. Amazoness.

It will be teched in many dark world decks, 2 at the most because of the hand destruction effect.

Last but not least, the deck I'm most excited about. There are also some other small archetype support.

Cookies help us deliver our Services. Also a bit sad that they decided to NOT release Gem-Knight Fusion. Got all the other relevant cards for it except Brilliant Fusion. Armed Dragon.

DARK MAGIC ATTACK! Yu-Gi-Oh!

Volcanic: Could be decent or it could just look good.
