It's pretty good, but not my favourite at all ;). This 3-D … Eddie on a motorbike over the herd of crazy fans.

Which Eddie Reigns Supreme? Powerslave, The X Factor and BNW are the best here imo Great job!!!

That's the re-mastered 1998-version of the cover.

When I’m bored, I occasionally create and edit movie and tv poster collections.

In my opinion, not the best version of Ed, but definitely not bad either.

This item IRON MAIDEN ALBUM COVERS NEW 24X36 POSTER RARE PRINT. ..................KILLER. I Want to discover more artists like [ARTIST NAME].

I can't believe that people complained, saying that "this isn't Eddie."

Eddie in a straightjacket after being lobotomized.

But that "apocalypse" behind him is really great. I also tweaked colours, contrast, and a few other things to create what I thought looked best.

This week I turned my attention to Iron Maiden instead.

This 3-D artwork lacks attractiveness. Eddie as the Grim Reaper, more Grim Reaper than Eddie, if you ask me. It's like a Where's Waldo of heavy metal.

Eddie in clouds behind the stage in Rio.

I always liked that cover but now I feel we were missing out on what could have been. These look great!

Great work. Great background setting.

It’s the small subtleties that make them pop dar more than the originals, which were already good. At this point, I wouldn't even consider this Eddie, seems more of an Indian-head painted by Salvador Dali.

For most of the fans it's not very good cover, but I love it. Purists may hate, but hopefully some of you might make use of some or all of these.

Yes! Horrible depiction of Eddie, bad colors too.

I like this cover - the adaptation of the future city is really excellent. Yes, yes, yes.

So amazing, it could stare at it all.

Dance of Death08/09/2003

Why not.

I don't like it at all.

Again, doesn't feel like an Iron Maiden album cover.

Very nice cover by Derek Riggs for Maiden England live album.

Eddie about to finish off a victim. Again, doesn't feel like an Iron Maiden album cover.

Cookies help us deliver our Services. Apr 20, 2015 - This article reflects on over a decade of album covers by the graphic artist Derek Riggsthe, who's early Iron Maiden album covers and picture sleeves are now iconic.

Iron Maiden - Music Poster (Trooper) (Size: 24 inches x 36 inches) LPGI Iron Maiden Fabric Poster, 30 by 40-Inch, Power Slave. It's such a shame that Dance of Death had such poor artwork, the album itself is fantastic!

Ed is looking from the clouds at London in the future.

Scary as hell as well. Really nice Iron Maiden album cover. Eddie isn't the main character anymore.

Damn, Fear of the Dark and X Factor are much better like this! Eddie as The Grim Reaper again and now in a very cool adaptation. 13: 13. Absolute boss. He is different, he is cooler.

One of the greatest album covers. Sorry, but this one is totally crap in my opinion. Fucking cool. Well done. Eddie embodied in a Blade-runner cyborg-ish monster.

http://greenandblackmusic.com/home/2017/01/14/iron-maiden-the-legend-of-the-black-cat/. Really crazy version of Eddie as a radio presenter with some nice details including "666" and "Radio Hell" on the wall, Eddie's "Killers" T-shirt etc. I wish I could have this as a print on my wall.
Amazing.

Just an observation from an old fan here who has NPFTD on cassette. This is brilliant. postersultan 1 X Iron Maiden Poster - The Number of The Beast - 24X36. Country. Very good adaptation and Ed's face is really scary ;), Who is possessing who?

Derek Riggs experimented with computer drawing and this is the result. I‘ve been a fan for over 15 years, but it’s not easy finding high quality definitive album covers, and I’m always a tiny bit annoyed by the random variations in logo placement. Iron Maiden album covers: "From the worst to the best". Kick ass.

I‘ve been a fan for over 15 years, but it’s not easy finding high quality definitive album covers, and I’m always a tiny bit annoyed by the random variations in logo placement. I love it. SO FUCKING COOL. Press J to jump to the feed.

United States. Very interesting and beutiful drawing with some hidden details ;).

Maybe it's just my cassette, but I always thought my version of that artwork was a little washed out. Holy fuck fear of the dark looks amazing like that.

I think you’ll find he’s grabbing a grave robber by the throat rather than throwing him. However, only this part of the image is interesting. They aren’t all perfect, but I think they’re pretty good interpretations. Eddie in leather pants and long hair. More of a setting than a happening, a place more than action. Great colors.

I'd love if you could do this for the alternate Dance of Death art without the horrible CGI. Great use of colors. Horrible depiction of Eddie, bad colors too. But I like A Real Dead One cover a bit more :). My second favourite album cover in Iron Maiden's history. But not in this adaptation. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts, Every second is a new spark, sets the universe aflame. This one is my favourite from a pair of Dead One and Live One. This week I turned my attention to Iron Maiden instead.

Horrible depiction of Eddie, bad colors too. Eddie as the alien? Very clever, blending Eddie with a dead tree. I don't like Eddie here. Definitely.

And the best is here.

Excellent cover! The worst Iron Maiden album cover.

Eddie fits perfectly in an Ancient Egyptian setting.

But I think the idea of the cover is really good - Eddie as The Grim Reaper and people dancing with Death. Beautiful picture by Derek Riggs full of very nice details.

Dead front center Eddie in a Dante's inferno/North Pole combination holding "the unborn in the womb.".

Love blue-colored Maiden albums, Eddie coming out of his grave, grabbing a victim.

No. Probably, the most legendary Iron Maiden cover.

Member for 2 years 4 months Birthdate. This one for me is pretty lame. Gotta love long haired Eddie.

May 2, 2015 - Explore Fox Music Company's board "Iron Maiden Album Covers by Derek Riggs" on Pinterest. The most detailed and colorful artwork to date.

No, no, no, noo.

The X Factor cover looks much better like that.

There’s no amount of tweaking that could remedy that album apart from taking out all of the badly rendered CGI. A lot were just a simple case of aligning things properly, some are obviously quite drastic changes (Powerslave, Fear, X Factor) and a couple required a ton of editing to move the logos (Virtual XI, Life and Death). 06-21. Would be amazing to see a remastered version of that original cover. After all the killers and devils here we have Eddie as the sphinx. Nothing crashing, but nice :). In my opinion, the best Melvyn Grant's cover for the Iron Maiden album.

Eddie with an axe in his hand and the first Iron Maiden album cover where are some nice details (Ruskin Arms in the background, Charlotte the Harlot...).

Iron Maiden Dance of Death (2003) No, no, no, noo. In my opinion, the most perfect Iron Maiden cover. Feel free to share the link around with other Iron Maiden fans!

I might have a go at placing the old pointy logo on some the newer ones.

Weird creatures and images that make you want to put it down. Nice picture, bot nothing excellent in my opinion ;), I like this "bat" version of Eddie which was used in Donington concert.

The most atmospheric Iron Maiden album cover. Great job on the remasters, Fear of the Dark is genuinely terrifying! Hope those chains ain't too loose.

Iron Maiden Album Covers Ranked.

Very cool. I’m not sure I have the patience to do all the live and compilation albums too, but maybe if the demand is there . Eddie after lobotomy. Ugly 3D figures in masks around Eddie.

Some people says this cover is adequate for a death/black metal band :) Yes, this cover is very atypical and deep for Iron Maiden, but I like it :D Eddie after lobotomy again (previously used on Piece Of Mind album), but in a more horror-like version by Hugh Syme. I think the worst cover by Melvyn Grant. I was hoping for the inclusion of an alternate, completely reworked cover for Dance of Death, but alas :D. Hey mate, great stuff. Fear of the Dark looks amazing and I much prefer this version of the logo on The X-Factor’s cover. Not bad. My own chart of all Iron Maiden studio/live album covers sorted by popularity - so, from the worst to the best :) I left out Flight 666 cover, 'cause there is no Eddie, only the band with Ed Force One ;) Eddie being mutilated through surgery, very very awful. Outstanding work. Studio albums by Iron Maiden.

Great setting, again, love the blue.
Nothing more to say.

Millions of references and easter eggs about Maiden.

He is riding his black horse and all that skulls, background made of the bowels... 80's-like album cover and I like it. So I decided to do something about it, and put together this collection - all pretty good quality, with consistently placed logos. A Matter of Life and Death28/08/2006. The best Iron Maiden album covers ranked by I Like Your Old Stuff metal head, Higgo. Good idea and nice adaptation. Man, i could stare at this all day. Again, I'm only judging album covers. Eddie is reincarnated into "Blade Runner", in the background details such a Long Beach Arena, Rainbow bar, the falling Icarus, Ruskin Arms (again ;)) etc. People bitch about Eddie being different. Did you notice the black cats? Eddie is here ingrown into the tree.

But I don't know if there's a hi res version of that available. TL;DR - I made a set of consistent cover art for all of Iron Maiden’s studio albums, which can be found here: When I’m bored, I occasionally create and edit movie and tv poster collections.

In the original cover, Eddie is actually throwing a man by the throat. I like it. Iron Maiden Virtual XI (2008) Again, doesn't feel like an Iron Maiden album cover. Lacks originality. Is this an Iron Maiden album, or a Cannibal Corpse album?

I took a look through all your covers, fantastic work. Lacks energy, but still very cool. These images are amazing. Good effort, but how come you didn't standardise the Maiden logo to have the elongated R and N on all albums, eh?

One of the greatest Iron Maiden covers and really beautiful drawing by Derek Riggs.

But it was expected step after none very successful (for me surely) Derek Riggs' No Prayer For The Dying cover. Discussion, pics, videos, art, you name it.

THE BEST VERSION OF EDDIE.

Anything about or related to the metal band Iron Maiden.

Whether it is or not, it is just sooo freaking amazing.
